It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Johnson of Okabena, Minnesota, who passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Johnson and Martha Johnson (Ross); his siblings, Gary Johnson and Lynnae Weaver; his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Elenora Wichmann; and his brother-in-law Lyle Wichmann.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Wichmann of Peter's Lutheran Church; his children, Stefanie Schmidt (Jason) of Brandon, SD, Peter Johnson (Shannon) of Valparaiso, IN and Molly Leopold (Kris) of Valley Springs, SD; his grandchildren, Jaden, Jaxon, Morgan (Nick), Ashley, Aidan, Tessa, Keaton, Payton and Koyer; his brother Eugene Johnson, Sr. of Milan, MN; and his brothers-in-law, Lynn Wichmann (Kim) of Balaton and Lowell Wichmann (Peggy) of Balaton.
