He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rustan and Josie Rustan (Gunderson); his wife Laura Christina Mostrom; his daughter Judy; his son-in-law Tim Munger; and his siblings, Edwin Rustan (Deloris), Bennie Rustan, Milan Rustan, Richard Rustan (Gloria), Hilmer Rustan (Elsie), Evelyn Piepgras (Walter) and Violet Ronne (Charlie).
He is survived by: his son Errol Rustan (Gerri) of Oklee, MN; his grandchildren, Sam Rustan (Melissa) of Pickett, WI, Anna Stoll (Steven) of Woodbury, MN, Emma Rustan of Duluth, MN, Gustav Rustan (Ellen) of Stillwater, MN, Clara Rogalla (Robert) of Oklee, MN, Melissa Johnson (Jason) of Grand Forks, ND, Christina Halvorson (Keegen) of Argyle, MN and Micah Hamm of Warren, MN; his great grandchildren, Keaten, Gabriella Stoll, Sigrun, Mirielle, Sarah Rustan, William, Laura, Ruby Rustan, Megan Johnson, Tate Johnson (Camille), Joshua Hamm (Mikaela Sindelir), Adrian Hamm (Jared Jukich), Elijah Donarski, Drew Halvorson and Chase Kalt; his great great grandchildren, Daxon Kiefer, Rylan Hamm, Oaklyn Hamm, Grady Hamm and Wrenley Hamm; and his sisters, Lillian Hilgeman, Lyla Kimball and Dellys Nylec. He is also survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
