He is survived by: his children, Robert Houghton (Debra) of Glencoe, Barbara Christensen (Bryan) of Apple Valley, Wesley Houghton (Karan) of Madisonville, TN, Thomas Houghton of Waverly and Daniel Houghton (Jensine) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Amy Scharlemann, Jessica Houghton, Zachary Kuphal (Kate), Jesse Kuphal, Evan Houghton (Katrina), Ashley Carlson (James), David Houghton, Philip Christensen (Kyra), Anna Connelly (Joseph), Elizabeth Christensen (Adan Casas), Kasey Wingo, Vanessa Benvie (Grant), Julia Houghton and Timothy Houghton; his great grandchildren, Kaylie Scharlemann, Gabriella Houghton, Mia Scharlemann, Isabelle Scharlemann, Kennedy Kuphal, Everly Kuphal, Bryce Carlson, Natalie Carlson, Kiersten Carlson, Paxton Christensen, Penelope Christensen, Catherine Connelly, Xander Benvie and Jaxton Benvie; his brother Richard "Dick" Houghton (Nancy); and his brother-in-law Steve Jeppesen (Jan).
