She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Mattie, George Daughtery, Kelsie and George Donovan, Sr.; and her aunt Patricia Newman.

She is survived by : her children, Joy Chenghui Xu of Nanjing, China. and Shan; her son-in-law Benedict Behrens; her parents, George Donovan and Shirley Donovan; her sisters, Robin Councilman (Dave) and Christy Pemberton (Dennis); her nieces and nephews, Dana, Aaron, Kelsey, Amelia, Kyle and Aiden; and her aunts and uncles, Joy, Bob Teasley, Eric, Sheree Cunningham, Larry and Sally Newman.

In lieu of flowers, Cathy would appreciate donations in her honor to Wahkon Presbyterian Church (Wahkon, MN), Mille Lacs Health Systems, or Nubability (Nubability.org).
