He was predeceased by : his father Phillip Sam; and his grandmother Donna Sam. He is survived by : his mother Cindy Perry; his close friend Michelle Ives; his children, Darrin Sam Jr. and Asharra Ives; his siblings, Ralph Richards, Jessie Elmberg, Tinisha Elmberg, Loretta Elmberg and Devonna Sam; and his aunts, Ruth Sam and Nichole Sam. He is also survived by uncles, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
