It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Gerdes of Ormsby, Minnesota, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Kelsey Gerdes (Tootie); his parents, John and Marie; and his siblings, Edna Gerdes, Rueben Gerdes, Lydia Hooge (Vern), Verona Johnson (Phil), Dora Loewens (Norman), George Gerdes and David Gerdes.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Scott Gerdes (Terri) of Sartell, John Timothy Gerdes of Ormsby, James Todd Gerdes (Stephanie) of Vining and Jean Shannon Gerdes (Jon Bentz) of Truman; his grandchildren, Harrison (Erin Wissler), Hannah, Rachel, Greta Gerdes, Jordan, Ashley Gerdes, Erin Gerdes (Tim Roberts), Ben Gerdes, Caitlin (Josh Torrez), Bowdin, Effie and Maisie Bentz; his great grandchildren, Henry, Annabelle Wissler Gerdes, Toby, Wyatt, Leo and Rosie Torrez; and his sister-in-law Ruth Jones. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Waverly Lutheran Church.
