We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2020, at the age of 81, Daniel Petersen (Ortonville, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, George Ludwig Petersen VII and Margaret Merrill; his wife Sharlene; his daughters, Missy and Mindy Peters (Jerrold); his daughter-in-law Maria Petersen; his grandchildren, Jacob Petersen (Anessa), Jenna Alex (Jeff), Cole Peters (Taylor), Jordan Oland, Tyler Peters, Kendall Gronholz, Nicholas Petersen and Kadyn Gronholz; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Evelyn, Colton, Laine and Cecilia; his brother George Petersen (Lyn); his son Daniel Merrill Jr.; and his grandson Justin Daniel Petersen. He was also cherished by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.

A candle has been lit

“In loving memory of Daniel Petersen, My husband and I grew up with Dan. Sunday School, Youth Group, Confirmation, Grade School, Jr. High, and High School to Graduation. He was always a top-notch, loyal, wonderful friend. He loved his basketball and football and was good as a player. He will surely be missed. He had a beautiful wife and beautiful children and grandchildren he was very proud of. My love and condolences to the beautiful family. Sharing in your sorrow. With love and friendship.”
