With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jay Dee Ross of Ortonville, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ross and Laura Ross (Stowell); his grandson Trevor Solem; and his brothers, Warren Ross (Dale) and Jerry Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Scherer; his children, Chuck Ross (Diane) of Battle Lake, MN, Michael Ross (LeAnn) of Cedar, MN, Allan Ross (Lisa) of Ortonville, MN and LeeAnn Lemke (Tony) of Clarissa, MN; his brother Robert Ross (Mary) of Ortonville, MN; and his brother-in-law Jim Scherer (Karol) of Ortonville, MN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Following his retirement, he remained deeply involved in the community as an active school board member, a member of the Ortonville School Foundation, and a former Sunday School teacher.
