She was predeceased by : her parents, Glen Voeltz and Alice Voeltz (Bergstad); her husband Don Dawson; her daughter Merle Lynn Rasmussen; her great grandchild Silas Bischoff; her siblings, Gloria Hausauer, Robyn Wulff, James Voeltz, Gary Voeltz and Keith Voeltz; and her siblings-in-law, Susie Dawson Nelson, Rosemary Dawson Meyers, Mary Tillman Voeltz, Bob Hausauer and Bill Wulff.
She is survived by : her children, Monica Voegtli (Gary) of Ortonville, MN, Cathi Halbe (Jim) of Morris, MN and Don Dawson (Peggy Plageman) of Minneota, MN; her son-in-law Elden Rasmussen of Richmond, MN; her brother Millard Voeltz; her grandchildren, Zac Kietzman (Sara), Leah Kietzman, Karla Kietzman (Josh Bischoff), Aaron Voegtli (Kristin), Alison Voegtli, Donald Dawson, Jacob Dawson (Misty) and Jaimie Plageman; her great grandchildren, Riley, Zoe and Dylan Rethamel; and her grandchildren, Audrey, Caleb, Nathan Voegtli, Elliott, Lucy, Rose Bischoff, Carter and Hannah Dawson. She is also survived by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Virginia's name be made to Big Stone Area Healthcare Foundation.
