He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Schmidt and Beverly Schmidt; and his siblings, Mark and Karla. He is survived by: his wife Sonia; his daughters, Laura and Heather (Chris); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Talen, Dahlia and Cece; his sister Karen (Dave); his nieces, Kelly, Kendal (Adam) and Lynnette (Jordan); and his nephew Christopher.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Evans-Nordby Funeral Home (34 2nd St NE, Osseo, MN 55369). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer those memorials be made to his favorite charities: The India Mission for Evangelism, Ruff Start Rescue or Feed My Starving Children.
