He is survived by: his children, Adrian Jacob Vela, Dorothy Leann Vela (Jesus Valencia) of Austin, Edward Vela (Jazmin Flink) of Albert Lea and Tony Vela of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Elian, Ayana, Chanel, Elena, Gabriella, Kiri, Araceli and Lucian; and his brother Alfredo Vela of Owatonna.
