She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Placek and Meta Placek (Konakovitz); her husband John Francis Skalisky Jr.; her daughter Suzette Fisher; her sons-in-law, Werner Fisher and Odell Hollis; and her siblings, Winifred Martin, Alice Westra, Frank Placek Jr. and Robert Placek.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Skalisky (Dora) of Owatonna and Annette Hollis of Colbert, GA; her grandchildren, John (Megan), Laura, Daniel (Jennifer), Tessa (Trey), Tiffany (Michael), Sean (Lindsay), Carissa (Jason) and Matt; her great grandchildren, Abraham, Deacon, Winter, Autumn, Samuel, Adalyn, Buck, Brooks, Jasper, Guy, Catherine, Claire and Aria; her great great grandchild Lorelei; and her sister Gloria "Babe" Michels. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1909 St Paul Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
