He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Sommer and Alice Sommer (McKimm); and his siblings, Grace Kubat and Roger Sommer. He is survived by : his siblings, Joyce Ennis, Cathy Hill and Butch Sommer of Ellendale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Michaelson Funeral Home - Owatonna (1930 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060).
