He was predeceased by: his father Rudolph Henry Stange; his former wife Char Stange; his children, Ann Louise, Lisa Ann and John Henry; and his brothers, Donald Luverne and Glen Allen Stange.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ann Johnson; his daughter Kari Fairbanks of Owatonna; and his sister Yvonne Hartsook (Richard) of Owatonna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
