John P. Jacobson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John P. Jacobson of Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Helmer Jacobson; and his son Evan Jacobson. He is survived by: his mother Jeannette Jacobson (Johnson) of New Richland; his wife Ellen Jacobson of Ellendale; his son Anders "Andy" Jacobson (Kelli); his granddaughters, Brielle and Brindle Jacobson of Hartland; his daughter Greta Jacobson (Roger Janusiak) of Seattle, WA; his siblings, Jodi Thompson (Jim) of Alexandria and Jim Jacobson of Ellendale; his mother-in-law Virginia Anderson of Owatonna; and his friend Tim Knauber of Medford. He is also survived by several in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends.

Memorials are preferred to Steele County 4-H and Little Theatre of Owatonna.
