She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Palmer and Luella Palmer; and her husband Maurice LaFond. She is survived by: her children, Regina LaFond of Duluth, MN, Mark LaFond (Linda) of Bemidji, MN, Gerard LaFond (Karen), Paul LaFond (Julie) of Prospect Heights, IL, Margaret Boettcher (Keven) of Tucson, AZ, Matthew LaFond (Rita) of Red Wing, MN, Mary Lennon (Dave) of Kasson, MN, Jan O'Brien of Rochester, MN and Kerry Ohnstad. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060-4021). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (512 S Elm Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (2030 S Cedar Ave, Owatonna, MN 55060).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Mary's School (730 S Cedar Ave, Owatonna), St. Joseph Church, Alina Hospice, or the donor's choice.
