He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Wanous and Mildred Wanous (Racek); his wife Marilyn Wanous; and his sister Norma Ackerman. He is survived by: his daughters, Deb Hanks (Ray) of Waseca, Jane Spatenka (Joe) of Owatonna, MaryAnn Wanous of Owatonna and Nancy Vroman (Bryan) of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Steven Hanks (Jessica), Andrew Hanks (Chelsea), Kyle Hanks (LeAnn), Trent Spatenka (Emily), Vanessa Johnson (Justin) and Tyler Vroman; his siblings, Francis Wanous (Sharon), Shirley Woodfill (Tom) and Ricky Wanous; his close friend Donna Kubista; August. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Special Olympics, or to the donor's choice.
