He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Kubat and Helen Kubat (Skalicky); and his siblings, Steve, Richard, Agnes, Betty, Helen and Delores (Marcy).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nelson of Savior's Lutheran Church; and his children, Cinda Borash, Cheryl Sommer, Lisa Roushar (Dan) and Mark Kubat (Diana). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060-4021). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John Cemetery (236 12th St NE, Owatonna, MN 55060).
