With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ruth Hanson (Owatonna, Minnesota), born in New Hope, Alabama, who passed away on June 10, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Mary Ruth's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary Ruth has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Oliver and Ethel Burroughs; and her son-in-law Leon Blair. She is survived by: her husband Marlin Hanson; and her children, Larry Hanson (Linda), Myron Hanson, Aaron Hanson, Carol Hanson and Wanda Hanson. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brick - Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna, MN 55060). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
