It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert H. Nelson of Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nelson and Elsie Nelson (Dolgner) of Meriden; his wife Arlene Sanborn; and his sisters, Joyce Nelson and JoAnn Buck.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Coolidge (Mike) of Princeton, Douglas of Red Wing, Patty Velzke (Clark) of Owatonna and Paul (Shelly) of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Maria, Krystyna, Erica, Christopher, Caty, Natalie, Spencer, Lexi and Lydia; his siblings, Glen Nelson (Shirley) and Shirley Sobrack (Ray); and his brother-in-law Norman Buck. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be expressed to St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna or the Owatonna American Legion in Bob's memory.
