He was predeceased by : his wife Paddy Lien; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Linda Martin; his granddaughter Jennifer Martin; and his siblings, Fred, Randine Okeneski and Valerie Ciurleo.

He is survived by : his children, Art Jr. (Jayne), Susan Summers Vergas (Michael) and Terryl (James); his siblings, Jerry Martin (Linda) and Bernadette; and his brother-in-law Thomas. He is also survived by Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, MN.
