He is survived by: his children, Ty Schmidt (Sally) of Albertville, MN, Darcy Bradley of Grand Forks, ND and Amanda Martin (Jeff) of Big Lake, MN; his grandchildren, Jessyca Macklin, Logan Schmidt (Hannah), Tanaeya Schmidt, Amiri Dukes, Caleb Martin, Nakaiya Schmidt and Jacob Martin; his great grandchildren, Micah Schmidt and Isaac Schmidt; and his siblings, David Schmidt (Cindy) of Buffalo, MN, Richard Schmidt (Barbara) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Pam Skarie (Don) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Ann Fingalson (Gary) of Detroit Lakes, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
