He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thelen and Clara Thelen (Glazmaier); his brother James Thelen; his sister-in-law Patricia Thelen; his sister Baby Rose Thelen; and his daughter Kerry Jaspersen.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thelen of Park Rapids; his daughters, Michelle Thelen of Minneapolis, MN and Kelly Chapin (Randy) of Park Rapids; his son-in-law Mark Jaspersen; and his sisters, Ruth Kraemer of Belle Plaine, MN and Shirley Rishor of Clarksville, IN. He is also survived by 4 grandsons; 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids (710 1st St W, Park Rapids, MN 56470). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
