With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Henry Novak of Park Rapids, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 5, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Novak and Barbara Novak (Sollman); and his siblings, Frank, Virginia and Frances.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Marie Oien; his children, Jeff (Debbie) of Chico, CA, Jim (Denise) of Bemidji, MN, Terry (Katie) of Park Rapids, MN and Jill Starkman (Brian); his grandchildren, Alex, Jason, Sarah, Danielle, Zach, Clayton, Mathew, Jordyn and Brandi; and his sister Judy.
He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, at the Food Shelf as its treasurer, and at the Park Rapids Library Foundation as its treasurer.
