It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Loomis of Paynesville, Minnesota, who passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Loomis and Eleonora Loomis (Bauch); and his sister Ruth Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Betty Loomis; and his children, Sara Turrell (Bruce) of Paynesville, Tom Loomis (Michele) of Denton, TX, John Loomis (Barbara) of Cape Charles, VA, Robert Loomis (Kenny Wong) of Seattle, WA, Mary Scott (Jerry) of Grand Haven, MI and Michael Loomis of Paynesville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Jim & Betty Loomis Fund with Paynesville Area Community Foundation.
