He was predeceased by: his mother Evangeline Elmhorst (Heitke). He is survived by: his father Michael Sr. Elmhorst; his wife Cara Baker; his children, Mike Elmhorst III, Mackenzie Anderson (Samuel) and Caleb Elmhorst (Kaitlynn); his grandchildren, Finnegan Anderson and Eleanora Elmhorst; his siblings, Steve Elmhorst (Jill), Shelly Wilks (Matt), Sharon Hinson (Ryan), Maretta Velyan (Raymond), Sandy Buskol (Davy) and Seth Elmhorst (Rachel); and his aunt Gerry Heitke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Community Christian School (1300 19th Ave SW, Willmar, MN 56201).
