He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Smith and Irene Smith; his siblings, Lynn and Dennis (Sandra); and his former wife Sharon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie, Wendy, Robin and Susan; and his wife Jan. He is also survived by children and stepchildren, 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (30985 Front St, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
