He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Ellis and Ruth Ellis (Davidson); and his sister Kristine Fuhrer (Ellis). He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Land); his children, Kirsten Ellis, Kimberly Pierson (Mike), Peggy Bach (Kevin), Steven Ellis (Katy) and Jonathan (Kelley); and his sisters, Bonnie Bandy (Gerald), Margaret Swoverland (Richard) and Shirley Schmidt (Art). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (31283 Front St, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
