He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Laytin (Daniel) of Chicago, Illinois and Sondie Blackmon (Dennis) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Reed, Brayden and Emerson; and his brothers, Mike Nelson (Lisa) of Perham, Minnesota, Kurt Nelson (Jeana) of Perham, Minnesota and Gary Nelson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
