With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eileen Spilman of Pillager, Minnesota, born in Brainerd, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 10, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Fornshell and Jeanette Fornshell (Ackerson); her sons, Chad Douglas and Kevin; her parents-in-law, Ben and Mable Spilman; and her sister-in-law Alice Nyberg.
She is survived by: her husband Doug; her son Kelly (Kris Olson); her grandson Brandon Olson; her sisters, Wanda Beimert (Gary) of Pillager and Penny Stumvoll (Brian) of Nisswa; her nephews, Larry (Lisa) and Brent Beimert (Tasha Cestnik) of Pillager; and her godsons, Rori Stumvoll (Katie) of Nisswa and Aron Stumvoll (Samantha) of Lima, Peru. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In 2020, she held three rummage sales to benefit Pillager businesses, churches, schools, coats and meals for kids, the Pillager Family Center with Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, and provided aid for medical hardships due to COVID-19.
