He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Plessel and Marie Plessel (Schmidt); his brother Larry Plessel; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Plessel and Dwight Westermann.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Plessel of Pine City; his sons, Joseph Plessel (Sue) of Andover, Christopher Plessel (Kim) of Oakdale and Justin Plessel (Kimberly) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie, Emily, Cassondra (Matthew), Haley, Kallee (Aiden), Isaac and Lilah; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Everleigh, Rudy and Rosie; and his sister Dorothy Westermann of Shoreview. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
