He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alexander and Albina Emily Saumer (Franta); and his siblings, Lucille Johnson, Delphine Johnson (Gordon), Mary Alice Stoffel (Ernie), Andrew Saumer (Ella) and Robert Saumer (Joanne).
He is survived by: his children, Katie Kral (Jared), Wesley, Emma, Autumn, Aurora, Alex Saumer (Laura), Liliana, Aurelia, Zach Saumer (Corinne), Hans Saumer (Jena Sykora), Emily Lutz (Sam) and Jonah; and his pet Cooper. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service (665 3rd Ave SW, Pine City, MN 55063). A Mass will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (555 8th St SW, Pine City, MN 55063).
