He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ruby Berryman and Harry Berryman; his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Jena Ogston and Jana Faragher; his sons-in-law, Kent Ogston and Bill Faragher; his grandchildren, Kaelin, Evan Ogston, Kitridge and Monarch Faragher; his siblings, Bob, Roger, Dick, Donna Samuelson and Joan Hall (Don); and his sister-in-law Kathleen. He was also cherished by his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund at the American Legion in Pine Island, MN 108 1st Ave SE, Pine Island, MN 55963.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to Bonnie, and his daughters Jena and Jana. And also, to the rest of Ed's family. Ed was wonderful neighbor, and we are thankful for his friendship. He made our country neighborhood a better place to call home. The Lenz family will miss him! We trust that he now enjoys an eternal rest with our Lord and Savior. Craig and Karen Lenz”
