We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Murel Gordon Backman of Pine River, Minnesota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Virginia and Carl; his daughter Kim Wahlstrom; and his siblings, Jane Stroebl, Deanna Mosley, Ruth Gould, Karl Backman and Pete Backman.

He is survived by : his wife Karen; his daughter Dawn Clobes (Jon); his grandchildren, Nathan Clobes (Jessie), Joshua Clobes (Samantha), Abigail Clobes, David Clobes (Danielle), Hannah Clobes and Andrew Clobes; his great grandchildren, James, Madelyn, Naomi and Lenora; his sister Karen Backman; and his siblings-in-law, David Mosley and Margaret Backman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (603 MN-371, Backus, MN 56435). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
