He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pape and Ella Pape (Wende); his wife Barbara Wrege; and his son Keith. He is survived by: his children, Bruce Pape (Pat) of Pipestone, Julie Garberding (Paul) of Pipestone, Dawn Pape of St. Robert and Doug Pape (Paula) of Pipestone; his grandchildren, Karla Loll (Chris), Dustin Pape (Jessica), Mandi Kuehl (Andrew), Melissa McCorquodale (Bobby), Tylee Johnson (Josh), John Pape, Bradley Pape, Zach DeSmith, Bridget Lingen (Cory), Brent Pape and Kelly Pape (Westyn Burke); and his great grandchildren, Trevor Pape, Dane McCorquodale, Tenli McCorquodale, Cora Loll, Sawyer Pape, Warren Kuehl, Brayson Lingen, Khloe Loll, Coyer McCorquodale, Kinsey Kuehl, Berklee Lingen, Huxley Pape and Evelyn DeSmith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartquist Funeral Home - Pipestone Chapel (320 2nd Ave SW, Pipestone, MN 56164). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church - Pipestone (621 Main St W, Pipestone, MN 56164). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the New Woodlawn Cemetery - Pipestone (676 116th St, Pipestone, MN 56164).
