He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Friend and Margaret Friend (Baltzer); and his brother-in-law Don Davis. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his son Jeff; his granddaughters, Brittany Lane (Justin) of Royse City, Katie Welch (Blaine) of El Paso, Natalie Friend and Abigail; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Kyler Lane, McKinley Welch and Madelynn Welch; Carol Awalt (Jim).
