We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 95, Richard William Paulsen (Pipestone, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Paulsen and Emma Paulsen (Hagedorn); his wife Barbara Hjermstad; his children, Vanessa Szyman and Steven Paulsen; and his brother Robert Paulsen.

He is survived by : his daughters, Patricia Van Hoecke (Morey) of Pipestone, Minnesota, Pamela Paulsen of Pipestone, Minnesota and Carrie Hiniker (Mark) of Pipestone, Minnesota; his son-in-law Tom Szyman; his grandchildren, Bill Van Hoecke (Emily), Chrissy Debates (Jeff), Richie Szyman (Laura), Kim Ongstad (Drew), Emma Tinklenberg (Luke), Chelsey Hillard (Brad), Brooklyn and Aiden Hiniker; and his great grandchildren, William, Matthew Debates, Carson, Trevin Van Hoecke, Josephine, Charlotte Szyman, Jaycee, Walker Ongstad, Reese, Laramie Hillard and Kasen Tinklenberg.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Leo Catholic Church - Pipestone (415 S Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164). A prayer was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the New Woodlawn Cemetery - Pipestone (654 116th St, Pipestone, MN 56164).
