He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Eernisse and Hattie Eernisse (Renskers); his wife Marlyn Eernisse; and his siblings, Grace Schelhaas and James Eernisse.
He is survived by: his sons, Todd Eernisse (Donna) of Fort Walton Beach, Kent Eernisse of Shoreview, Minnesota and Lyle Eernisse of Shoreview, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Devin Eernisse of Huntsville and Alex Eernisse (Leah Black) of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; his brother Harlan Eernisse of Burnsville, Minnesota; his brother-in-law Ken Westenberg (Joy) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; and his close friend Jan Huebner of Pipestone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Pipestone.
