He is survived by : his siblings, John Dittrich (Pat) of Kellogg, MN, Kay Rodrigue (Bob) of Stanchfield, MN, Connie Schad (Mike) of Zumbro Falls, MN, Mark Dittrich (Margaret) of St Paul, MN, Terry Dittrich (Cynthia) of Greensboro, NC, Rene Schneider (Brian) of Plainview, MN, Antoinette Brumm (Chip) of Lakeville, MN and Michele Jech (Bob) of Eyota, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“It is with great fondness that I remember Wayne. My late husband, Otto, and I spent much of the social time in our "early years" with him. Wayne was always kind, high energy, and fun. Wayne loved to laugh. It was through Wayne that we met his parents, Marcus and Lucille, and all of the Dittrich children. Wayne was truly unique. Of course, he will be missed by many people. My sincere condolences to the family.”
