He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Swan and Cleo Swan (Armstrong); his wife Audrey Paquette; his siblings, Doreen Seelye and Donald Armstrong; Joe Bush.
He is survived by: his children, Tricia Jones, Derek Greenfeather, Jr. and Nevaeh Jones; his granddaughter Aiyannah Greenfeather; and his sisters, Patricia Strom (Warren), Vicki Swan and Beverly Swan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
