She was predeceased by: her husband Dick Schmatz; her parents, Jake Koppendrayer and Pearl Koppendrayer; her siblings, Arlan Koppendrayer, Loni Knase and Baby; her brothers-in-law, John DeVries, Bill DeKraker and Richard Wergin; her parents-in-law, Raymond and Hazel Schmatz; and her siblings-in-law, Marlys Peterson (Pete), Mary Spiczka, Bonnie Schultz (Roland) and Vernon Schmatz.
She is survived by: her son Troy Bouma (Angela); her grandchildren, Samuel Ewald (Samantha), Adam Ewald (Amanda) and Ava Ewald; her great grandchildren, Auggie, Nora and Lucy; her siblings, Fran DeVries, LeRoy Koppendrayer (Carolyn), Don Knase, Marian Beier (Dennis), Roger Koppendrayer (Nancy), Pat Gorham (David), Charlotte DeKraker, Kevin Koppendrayer (Mary), Betsy Wergin and Susan Koppendrayer; and her brother-in-law Victor Spiczka. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
