He was predeceased by : his parents, Lyle Willert and Virginia Willert (Edgerton); and his brother Ricky. He is survived by : his siblings, Barb Lauer (Jerry), Nancy Schiro (Mike), Mike Willert (Wendy), Jeff Willert (Julie), Julia Weisz (Neal) and Lisa Usgaard (Robyn); his pet Libby; and his caregiver Shelby Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes-Princeton (205 S Rum River Dr, Princeton, MN 55371). A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society or the Disabled American Veterans.
