It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille L. Decker (Princeton, Minnesota), who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Lucille departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lucille may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lucille leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Decker and Carolyn Decker (Meyer); her siblings, Frances Dolores, Gahart (Ruth), Donald (Elizabeth) and Kenneth (Maxine); and her nephews, Kenneth Wayne and Richard. She is also survived by cousins and several nieces and nephews.
After 60 years of teaching, she retired in 2004, serving as a substitute teacher – sometimes four days a week, until the schools closed in March of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
