She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Clarence William Peterson and Alnora Adelia Peterson (Hicks); her husband Kenneth Willard Brouwer; and her siblings, Darlene Peterson and Vernon.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Bandstra (Bryan) of Pella, Iowa, Tom Brouwer (Wendy) of Fort Defiance, Arizona, Scott Brouwer (Kim) of Litchfield, Minnesota and Mark Brouwer (Charlene) of Princeton, Minnesota.; and her brothers, Luverne Peterson (Leticia) of Cushing and Harry Peterson (Paulette) of Willmar, Minnesota.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Marlys's life may be directed to the Bunde Christian Reformed Church - Mom's Ministry Fund.
