Frederick Howard Horton II Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick Howard Horton II (Prior Lake, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Lee Dreyspring and Fredrick Howard Horton I; and his sister Janis Horton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Ann Frost; his son Fredrick III; his grandchildren, Morgan Atzmiller (Charlie), Gabi Reynolds (Scott Friedrich), Katrina Reynolds, Callan Horton, Calder Horton, Madeline Horton, Genevieve Horton, Mitchell Stanchina (Grace Ackerman), Cole Stanchina and Ava Stanchina; his great grandchildren, Henry Atzmiller and Friedrich; and his children, Christine Reynolds (Brandon), Michael Horton (Kim) and Mary Stanchina (Sean).
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ballard Sunder Funeral Homes (4565 Pleasant St SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372).
His contributions to the Titan Missile program at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California were significant chapters in his remarkable career, which later led him to NASA.
