It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Tonkin of Prior Lake, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Tonkin and Edna Tonkin (Koski); and his sister Pat Larson. He is survived by : his wife Debbie; his daughters, Laura Van Vertloo (Mike), Emily Tonkin (Ben Stelmach) and Victoria Tonkin; his grandsons, Cole, Edwin and Ian; and his siblings, Ross Tonkin (Sue), Jeff Tonkin and Penny Hoffman (Andy).

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick of Cedar Lake Church (24425 Old Hwy 13 Blvd, Jordan, MN 55352).

In the end, his body was donated to the U of M Bequest Program and his legacy will continue to live on through the benefits of that program.
