He is survived by: his wife Gail Lageson; his children, Eric Barsness (Beth) of St. Paul, Kari Barsness of Raleigh, NC and Krista Winkel (Brandon) of Edina; his grandchildren, Ethan, Autumn, Dylan Barsness, Savannah, Sebastian Cobb, Davin and Berit Winkel; his sister Debbie Holmes (Randy); and his sister-in-law Lee Barsness. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
