He was predeceased by: his father Robert E. Slaybaugh; his brother William Slaybaugh; and his mother-in-law Lorma Lang. He is survived by: his wife Sue Stagg; his children, Trevor and Ashley of Nisswa, MN.; his mother Geraldine Slaybaugh; his siblings, Tami Culver (Todd), Greg Slaybaugh (Samantha) and Tracie Purvis (Bob); his father-in-law Les Stagg; and his siblings-in-law, Sherri Edwards (Dave) and Jon Stagg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the family has been established.
