He was predeceased by: his parents, Nordeen Sathre and Pearl Sathre (Jacobson); his great grandchild Elle; and his parents-in-law, William and LaDonna Leese.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Richardson (Leese); his children, Lisa Podritz (Quin), Beth Lindenfelser (Nick), Sandi Kapsner (Dave) and Travas Richardson; his siblings, Betty Taubman (Ron), Bob Sathre (Durene), Barb Ozmun (Jerry) and Patty Gustafson (Bruce); and his in-laws, Linda Gramstad, Tonia Johnston (Terry), Vickie St. John, Lola Lawrence (Ken), Carol Grieger and Mike Leese. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
