He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Tensen and Anna Tensen (Vander Beek); his daughter Debra Damhof; and his siblings, Ira, Andrew, Gerard, Trina Smit, Johanna Sankey and Thelma Tensen.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Gene Tensen (Edith) of Sunburg, Linda Ruschen (Steve) of Clara City, Kayla Fragodt (Wayne) of Raymond, Ardell Tensen (Jodi) of Raymond and Wayne Tensen (Kim) of Raymond; his sister Kathleen Schoep of Mitchell, SD; and his sister-in-law Doris Tensen of Brooten. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and spouses, and 40 great-grandchildren.
